Mako Miyatake 宮武茉子
Mako Miyatake is a 2nd-year Ph.D. student at the Morphing Matter Lab, in Mechanical Engineering department, University of California Berkeley. Her research lies at the intersection of food and engineering. She aims to leverage her experience in device making, robotics and user-centered system development to broaden the design space of Food HCI.
She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tokyo. She also trained in professional culinary arts at the Tsuji Culinary Institute and holds a chef’s license in Japan.
